[Geoserver-users] Geoserver 2.5.0 .war and gatein Jboss 7.1

Hi,
I'm trying to use geoserver 2.5.0 in gatein Jboss 7.1, i had some troubles
that i resolved following this:

Now geoserver is up in jboss, but if i create a new data store and reboot
jboss, the new data store isn't there anymore.

I downloaded the .war file from geoserver's site. I want to build the .war
file from the source code that i have on eclipse, how i do that?

I wonder if you have configured jboss to unpack the war on each restart?

GeoServer assumes it can access the file system and keep some state there between runs, that is not always true for different application servers.

Try and set up an external geoserver data directory, that is our usual workaround.

Had a check, this is a common issue - jboss is unpacking to a temporary folder each time.

Well this will be a great test of how well an external data directory works, I have not seen this workflow in a popular app server before (usually only craze corporate managed ones).

Today I tested your solution and for now it seems to work pretty well.

But now I'm "wrestling" with another problem.
I include geoserver web interface in gatein portal using a iframe portlet
and my intent is to using the gatein log in to log in into geoserver. It's
that possible? I already made some research but without success.
