after upgrading from 2.7.0 to 2.8.0 and pointing to existing external data directory the GeoServer 2.8.0 shows an error: “The requested resource is not available”.
Has structure of ‘data’ changed in 2.8.0?
Would you recommend to transfer own data (workspaces etc.) from external data dir to new data dir and to replace the external data dir with the new data dir?

Not that I know of.
Do you possibly have a store type that is not supported in your new install?
For example, a missing extension, or something else changed in your operating
system install?

Before I started the update from 2.7.0 to 2.8.0 all worked fine.
In past I updated from 2.6.3 to 2.7.0 with the same update procedure.

Not that I know of.Do you possibly have a store type that is not supported in your new install?
For example, a missing extension, or something else changed in your operating
