It's a pleasure to announce that Geoserver were presented on Track 7 of 9th
Workshop of INTERNET networks for Latin America and the Caribbean
(http://www.walc2006.ula.ve/english/) .
Although Geoserver don't appears in old version of the program listed on its
web page, Geoserver were included at last time once I was invited as
instructor. This track was a great opportunity to promote Open Source GIS
Technologies specially Open standards for geo-data spread.
Track 7 included MapServer, GRASS and JUMP. PostGIS and GeoServer made debut
this year.
WALC 2006 is initiative of the Internet Society, LACNIC and other
organizations. This year, the Open Source GIS Track had 18 participants of
Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru, Uruguay, USA and Nicaragua from public and private
organizations.

Excellent! That is very good news Eduin.
The more exposure for GeoServer the better, and especially in Central/South America where we don't have as many users (that I know of). If there are other conferences and you need material about GeoServer, feel free to ask the list. We would be glad to contribute.
cheers

I would like to gather the various publicity/slides/etc that are used to promote GeoServer. Having a bunch of material available will help
those presenting GeoServer next time
Thanks again for the advocacy.
