[Geoserver-users] Geoserver Azure connection

Has anyone experience with Azure and Geoserver?

As for the moment I am unable to even create a SQL Server datastore from my
Azure SQL database.

The connection parameter are fine. I have no problems connecting to the
database with MapServer from the same local machine.

I get following error message in the Geoserver admin page:

Error creating data store, check the parameters. Error message: Unable to
obtain connection: Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory (Server name
cannot be determined. It must appear as the first segment of the server's
dns name (servername.database.windows.net). Some libraries do not send the
server name, in which case the server name must be included as part of the
user name (username@anonymised.com). In addition, if both formats are used, the
server names must match.)

I don't have access to Azure anymore, but we had it working some time ago:

Have you downloaded and added the right JDBC driver to GeoServer?

Cheers
