Our GeoServer layer has a Native SRS = EPSG:4283 which uses Lat/Long.
EPSG:4283 = GDA94 = Geocentric Datum of Australia 1994
The Native SRS Bounding Box has a different extent to the Lat/Lon Bounding Box.
Does anyone know why if they’re both using Lat/Long?
What are the repercussions of having different lat/long coordinates for the 2 bounding boxes?

Because they are using different datums (the ellipsoid is no the same, and
not oriented
the same way)
What are the repercussions of having different lat/long coordinates for
the 2 bounding boxes?
None that I can think of

Thanks Andrea, yes the different datum is what I suspected.
I am new to GeoServer - is the Lat/Lon Bounding Box in WGS84? Or which geographic projection does GeoServer use as its default?
It’s good to hear that there shouldn’t be any problems with the differences between the 2 bounding boxes as the differences are very small. Interestingly, the Min/Max X values for the 2 different bounding boxes are the same for almost all the layers but the Min/Max Y coordinates are different for nearly all the layers.
