HI
I am new to this forum and the Geoserver world.
I downloaded the latest version of Geoserver , installed on my PC , with
Windows XP.
I followed the instructions for adding a new shape file datastore. The shape
file is a contours shapefile (line geometry). I went through the steps to
create a new SLD.
When previewing the data in Google Earth , i get white lines and darkish
circles. When trying to change the SLD just to the installed "Lines" SLD ,
it still display the same. And it seems to use the "capitals" SLD by
default.
When changing the SLD to a new a one I clicked the "apply" button , it goes
back to the "Geoserver Configuration" page, and the message "Data loaded
without incident" are displayed below.
When opening the "FeatureTypes" and edit the one i added for the shapefile ,
the SLD is still "capitals" and not the one i selected?
can someone please help me or point me in the right direction?
Thank you

After changing the style in teh dropdown did you scroll to the buttom of the page and click the "Submit" button first. Then hit appy. The submit button is kind of hidden at the bottom of the page so its easy to miss.
