[Geoserver-users] Geoserver for Vehicle fleet tracking system

Hi,
         I am new to GIS stuff, currently doing project on vehicle fleet
tracking system under linux. My requirements are to show the gps tracking
details on google map. I dont have any shape files...i am planning to use
google maps(wms).

planning to use: Geoserver+ google map wms+postgresql

Is geoserver right choice to my project?
if any one have idea about this vehicle fleet tracking system olease help me
to whether this configuration is good or not??

you can access google map through google map API,and display your gps tracking on it.
if only so,i don’t think your need geoserver+postgresql.simply,you can store your tracking data on your data format and access it directly instead of using geoserver+postgresql.
