[Geoserver-users] geoserver + geoext error

Hi all,

I’m using Geoserver 2.5 (binary install) on mac os x mavericks. When I tried to use GeoExt, I had the following error:

WARNING: No mapping found for HTTP request with URI [/geoserver/GeoExt/lib/GeoExt.js] in DispatcherServlet with name ‘dispatcher’

I already tried to unpack the GeoExt folders on several locations.

For example: geoserver/data_dir and geoserver/WEB-INF/

I’m really not sure in which folder I have to unpack it, but it seems that the error is caused for something else.

Can anyone give me some help please.

This belongs in geoExt list not here. GeoExt.js should probably be in your application context rather than with geoserver. We put javascript frameworks on an external context with Tomcat 7.
