Hey, i posted this question on GWC mailing list, but since geoserver comes
bundled with GWC i might aswell ask here.
So in my GIS viewer i use GWC as the default backend (GWC uses GeoServer as
the WMS source). Now i'd like to attach some custom (dynamic) parameters to
the GWC wms get request and the GWC would have to forward these parameters
to the GeoServer. These parameters do not change the image generated by
GeoServer, they are there only for some statistical analysis (performed by a
web-app filter in the GeoServer).
I checked the GWC documentation and there seems to be no way of specifying
parameters which simply get forwarded to the WMS backend?
Again, these parameters never affect the generated image and they change
over time so i can not use the "vendor parameters". And all that the GWC has
to do is to forward them to the WMS backend.
