Hello there,
Is there a way to export grouped layers from GeoServer WFS service or
GeoWebCache as shape or gml file?
Example:
Let's say layer named group1 consists of 3 layers a,b and c
If I send getFeature request to geoserver for group1 it says group1 layer
doesn't exist or geowebcache says 400:null
best regards,

No, group layers are a WMS specific construct. In WFS they make no sense
since in general the layers contained in them do not have the same name
and attribute structure.
GeoWebCache wise they should work though, at least for tiles
