Hi
Im just wondering if there are any opensource templates about for geoserver?
I have found the closed source Internet Mapping Framework here http://moximedia.com/imf.html
Has anyone adapted it to Geoserver. They mention in some docs it will
incorperate other servers eventually and that it wouldnt be too hard to
adapt.
I have started setting up a map server and would just like some sort of jump
start rather than having to build it all from scratch.

And to give some recommendations, MapBender is more of a framework sort of thing that you might like, and nice and stable. MapBuilder is a great pure javascript application, that will take a bit more configuration, but makes really nice interactive maps.

If you know of any others, we would love to hear about it,

I have been trying Mapbuilder and its not too bad just quite tempremental
I really like the look of mapbender but cannot get it to display my maps so
can't try it out. I have loaded the capabilities, it displays the layers in
the wms gui settings and i have loaded all the tool bars. when I view the
map it has all the tools but no map just a tiny grey square down the bottom
right and it fails to load the rest of the page.
Any ideas?
If i add my WMS to a working layer it kills it also.

You're going to have to ask their lists, I only have a slight bit of experience with each. But I know people have gotten both working with GeoServer.

good luck,

Mapbender, although looking quite attractive, seems to be a bit
complex to configure (ever since their 2.0 release). A lot of the
documentation is in German, too...
