[Geoserver-users] Geoserver user references

Hi
we use Geoserver in production now: http://www.sogis1.so.ch/sogis/internet/pmapper/map.phtml?config=ort
The layer “Uebersichtsplan” is served by Geoserver up to 1:20’000. Probably the more interesting feature is the printing function: vector layers (Ortsplan, Parzellengrenzen, Grenzpunkte, Points of Interest, Gemeindegrenze) are pdf outputs of Geoserver (up to a scale of 1:5000). Then we use Geoserver for a cadastral surveying wms (cascaded by Mapserver for some reasons): http://www.so.ch/departemente/bau-und-justiz/so-gis/web-map-services-wms/wms-plan-der-amtlichen-vermessung.html

regards
Stefan

Hi Mika. While I’m sure there are more production users than we are
aware of, some that come to mind are:

MassGIS (http://www.mass.gov/mgis/):
Massachusetts’ Office of Geographic and Environmental Information has
about 600 layers served via GeoServer.
http://lyceum.massgis.state.ma.us

Trimet (http://trimet.org/):
The Portland mass transit agency has a really nice trip
planner with a
custom UI.

If anyone wants to add to this list, feel free…

Hi,

was there any list of “serious” Geoserver users? I mean
instances who
use Geoserver in a real production environment and can be used as
references?

Thanks,
mika
