hello to all
Ive installed an application of geoserver. Geoserver tiles over google map . The results are the demostation of Natura 2000 (the European conservation network of nature ) in Greece !!
Link here http://www.mpe.gr/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=73
My problem is that my data (shapefile) is not getting where it is supposed to be.
My original data are in Greek coordinates (GGRS87 - GREEK GRID)
Is there a reason why is this happening? And any workaround to solve this?

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowedHello everyone. Can somebody direct me to a site that shows how to setup
geoserver to draw maps using different tables in postgis ? I have tiger
census data imported into postgis and
have been using qgis to view it but i’d like to use WMS to generate a
map. I’ve been able
to add the tables as a featuretype into geoserver but i don’t know how
to generate a map using those tables.

home page, for example, here:
http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOSDOC/SLD+Intro+Tutorial
and the tutorials here:
http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOSDOC/2+TutorialsAlso, have a look at the SLD and WMS specs on the OpenGeospatial site.
Hope this helps

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowedHi David,
It could be that you have two of the same in your SLD that will
cause the point to appear twice. If not that, then it might be there
there is another networklink pointing to the same layer lying around.Brent Owens

Another user question: I"m trying to serve a point layer via geoserver up
to Google Earth. For some reason, everything displays properly, but each
point is displayed twice (with two overlapping points, two labels, etc).
They are the same feature but are duplicate. Anyone else experience this
and know of a possible fix? Thanks,
David

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowedHi Tyler,
Sorry for the late reply. Yes JAI and imageio area a bit of a pain. We
have included them in 1.4 and we need to work out something for 1.5.
There is a little JAI howto on the geotools site that I reference often
(http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOT/2.2+Dependencies)
We do need to move it over to the geoserver site and make it a little
easier to understand.Brent Owens

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=“iso-8859-1”Well, I’m using the point SLD file that came with the geoserver
distribution. I’ll include it again. Also of note, when displaying point
layers from the geoserver demo files, it looks fine. However, when using
my own data, I get double points. I’m using Arcview 9.1 to create the
shapefiles in case that has anything to do with it.Hrm, I feel like we’ve had this problem before and we weren’t able to
