Hi,
I am new to GeoServer, forgive me if this is a noobish question but I had
been googling for a week now and I still haven't gotten a clear answer to
the problem.
Basically I set up a GeoServer and created a CoverageStore myself. I
downloaded a .TIF & a .TFW from this website:
http://libremap.org/data/state/maine/drg/
I put the files into a folder inside of coverage and I went to the demo page
and I was being able to zoom in and out on the map...everything's
well...except...I am trying to use WMS and trying to retrieve the map with
some Lat/Lng that I know exist on the map but I am getting a blank, if I use
UTC instead, the image I want shows up right. Now it seems like everything
is in UTC instead of Lat/Lng. I am already using 4326 and I also tried to
place the .PRJ file in there but it changes nothing.
Is it the format of the these files which will always return UTC? or is it
my PRJ file? I also read something about GeoTIFF, is it better to use? If
so, where to find GeoTIFF files for free? I will post my PRJ file if needed,
Thank you in advance for any help or guidance...this is very frustrating for
me..
Oliver
