Remember we only need to break out PSC for actual proposal stuff that is strategic - not everything needs to be voted on asking on the email list is often enough.
Yeah, my intention of having him ping the PSC was the thought that I think the PSC should think about the process for adding 'core contributors'. So in that sense the 'strategic' bit is perhaps a GSIP on our procedures for adding a new company in the 'core contributor' section, and indeed on the 'commercial support' page in general.
In the past I've been dictatorial on deciding who's on it and where, and I thought since we're moving to a PSC we should discuss what we do with that page, reach democratic consensus so it's not just my fiat. Or perhaps we do want to decide that it's just up to me, but I'd like to at least have the PSC think about it and make a recommendation.

Now that makes sense - and I assume we have all been getting by on reputation So what should we consider - an organization offering commercial support should at least have commit access (to be capable of fixing reported problems); and probably attending meetings (to be aware of what is going on in the community etc...).
List of experienced providers; sounds like they should of had at a geoserver install go live in order to be experienced.
