[Geoserver-users] GeoSolutions multidimensional / image mosaic training files

Can someone please point me to the all of the example files used in the GeoSolutions multidimensional training exercises that are mentioned here:

http://geoserver.geo-solutions.it/multidim/en/rest/index.html

specifically things like gome2.zip, temperature.zip, etc?

I took this class with Andrea back in September in Portland … but didn’t bring the files back with me and can’t find the obvious place for them.

Of course, I have looked through the tutorial but am still coming up empty.

Thanks,

Mike Grogan

Hi Mike,

They should be contained in the full training archive.
http://geoserver.geo-solutions.it/downloads/training/windows/multidim/Training_2.6.X-32-V5-Multidim.zip

Please, let me know if that’s what you need.

Best Regards,

Daniele

Daniele,

If you don’t mind, I do have a follow-up question now that I have the files …

Using the “Configuring an empty mosaic” example with the gome2.zip file, how do I make the mosaic be setup at a particular path on the file system?

For instance, in this case, the mosaic gets setup in a relative path that is file:data/geosolutions/gome2 which ends up in the geoserver data directory.

What if I wanted the mosaic to be setup at the absolute path /data/mosaics/gesolutions/gome2? I have an entire partition setup for holding my mosaic data, so I really want to be able to specify that the rest-created mosaic should go there.

Thanks again,

Mike

Hi Mike,

have you already considered using REST PathMapping in GeoServer? It allows you to change the REST base directory, keeping the same workspace/coveragestore structure.

Here you may find more information:

Hope this helps.

Nicola Lagomarsini.
