[Geoserver-users] geowebcache troubleshooting question.

Hello everyone,

I had a geowebcache troubleshooting question. Was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

My question: When I attempt to load one of my layer-groups called “standstrong” (containing canada,mexico,usa_states_geo,int_hatemaplists_geo) it returns “…featureType:splcenter:usa_states_geo does not have a properly configured datastore”

What works:

  • The featureType usa_states_geo loads fine from the gwc demo
  • The featureType usa_states_geo loads fine from /geoserver/wms/reflect
  • All the base layers load from the gwc and the reflect

Ideas on troubleshooting? Thank you everyone.

The datastore error must originate from GeoServer, but the error could be cached by GWC (I think this will improve in 1.7.3 thanks to a patch from Andrea... I need to check I'm doing everything on my end though).

1) What kind of datastore runs splcenter:usa_states_geo ?
2) Try wiping the cache (gwc directory), clear the cache in your browser and restart GeoServer (sledgehammer approach).
