Hi,
We have made another WMS layer from our orthophoto footprints and attributes and programmed a special button into our application to send GetFeatureInfo with QUERY_LAYERS=orthophoto_info. The application does not ever show the footprints. Users who are using standard WMS clients like uDig or QGis must add orthophoto_info as a WMS layer into their map project but then they can use the standard info tool.
