[Geoserver-users] getlegendgraphic from SLD_BODY? [Sec=Unclassified]

Pere,

Yes it is possible. I use it at http://data.aad.gov.au/aadc/symbology
however I pass the URL of a generated SLD file instead of using SLD_BODY
because of the length restrictions of URLs. It should still work the
same though.

  I've seen in the Demo of Geoserver a GetLegendGraphic request of SLD_BODY.
  The problem is how to generate the GetLegendGraphic-SLD_BODY URL request.
My webapplication (using mapBuilder) takes SLD_BODY directly from the Web
Map Context file. Any idea to automatically "translate" the SLD in the WMC
to the URL of the GetLegendGraphic-SLD_BODY?

  I'm thinking also about dynamically manipulating the SLD (then,
GetLegendGraphic is much easier). Do you think it should increase the
performace? what's the max length for the SLD_BODY request?
