Hi George,
There are a number of companies that offer commercial support for GeoServer. You may find this page of use:
http://geoserver.org/display/GEOS/Commercial+Support
As for hosting, none of the providers (as far as i know) provide hosting services directly.

Hi George,
Hands down, HostGIS! I've been using Hostgis (http://www.hostgis.com/) for the past few years. Their customer support is simply amazing and their prices very reasonable. They are very knowledgeable about the open source GIS stack, easy to get in touch with for quick requests or questions, (ie. can you help me with this PostGIS query, could you please install xxx), proactive on system security and backups. They've provided a number of contact methods and are almost always available via IM. I've often been able to get help at all hours of the day, weekends included.
Good luck!
Jennifer

That depends on how urgent you need the support. I am planning to offer this possibility, but we are talking about end of summer 2009.

Greetings. As a geoserver newbie I’d appreciate any quick pointers to sites where I can access examples of SLDs for raster coverages under geoserver 1.7.1. I have only found on-line examples from 1.5 or earlier and understand that these are ‘broken’ as far as 1.7 is concerned. The 1,7,1 SLD doco is very much work in progress, and the raster.sld sample is less than informative.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Have you considered to set it on a VPS provider, like linode.org, where you can install almost anything that cover your needs, without no worries about, hardware maintenance, or uptime.
