Greetings – I’ve read the GeoServer manual basics for accessing a layer via a Google Earth network link, but am curious if there is a syntax to access a GeoServer workspace via network link? What I’d like is the ability for my users to selectively display one or more layers in Google Earth from the workspace via a common network link, rather than require that they enter a unique network link for each and every layer.
Many thanks,
Jim P.
Hi Jim,
A few months ago I created and released a script which would parse a WMS GetCapabilities file and convert it into a KML file.
See here:
http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/rel-Script-to-convert-WMS-GetCapabilities-to-a-KML-file-td5088032.html
If you point it at a GetCapabilities which is using a workspace namespace then it should only list the layers in that workspace. (not tested that; but think it should)
Hopefully that helps (and works!)
Cheers,
Jonathan
