Im am running a GS 1.7 RC3 in an Tomcat container.
I create a CoverageStore, then the Coverage and everything works like a
charm. After Tomcat shutdown and restart though, the Coverage is gone,
only the CoverageStore remains. What am I missing here?

Hmm... sounds like a bug but I have not encountered it in RC3 (there was
a similar one in RC2). Can you provide more details? What kind of coverage are you playing with? Any chance it might not be reachable
when GeoServer starts up (dunno, GeoServer starting up as a service,
coverage stored on a network drive, and file sharing starting up
after GeoServer)?
Cheers
Andrea

Hi Christian,
I've noticed the same here. I was getting an error in the "Start GeoServer
Window" while loading the info.xml for this coverage. The mistake I made
was, to let the Request CRSs and Response CRSs empty.
After filling out these fields the coverage could be loaded.
