Hi Folks

I am trying to deploy a web-mapping application using Geoserver.

I have installed it but do not know where it start with the data. Is there a sample dataset that can used

Are there examples of web-based deployments using the GeoServer?

Any ideas are welcome.

GeoServer is shipped with example datasets.
Did you already look at online user manual?

It is a great resource to learn how to use GeoServer.
