[Geoserver-users] Help on wfs-t

Dear all,

I’m new to Geoserver and JSP/JS. I need to add some transactional data layer similar to the “Add User” in the
GeoServer user Map page: http://www.moximedia.com:8080/imf-ows/imf.jsp?site=gs_users

But the wfs-t demo page does not provide a Save button similar to the user Map page. Since this is not a simple JSP page, I can’t find which function or which file reads the

template_cities.xml

file, thus to update the interface. Can anyone tell me where to find the docs about how to create the “GeoServer user Map” page interface?

I use postgis. Right now, I’ve got this page running:

http://pollux.cs.ucdavis.edu:8080/geoserver/geocom_demo/index.html

How can I create a new point feature and actually send it back to my postgis database?

Thanks a lot

Haiyan

There's an updated mapbuilder interface that has a 'save' button. See their docs at http://docs.codehaus.org/display/MAP/Home or send an email to their list. I believe the next release of GeoServer - 1.3.4, has their updated demo.

best regards,

Chris

The next versions of geoserver will contain the new version of mapbuilder that has the save button: this will persist the change to the datastore using wfs-t.
