[Geoserver-users] Hide zoom bar

Hi everyone,

Am starting to use GeoServer. Is there a way for me to remove/hide the
zoom blue bar on the left hand side. I dont want the user to be able
to zoom in or zoom out.

Hi,

Geoserver itself is a server sending data when client application wants to get some. Zoom bar you are referring to is not part of Geoserver, it comes from the application. I guess you are seeing some OpenLayers javascript application in your eyes, thus you'd need to have a look on OpenLayers documentation.

Hi Peter,

I think you meen the PanZoomBar-Control from OpenLayers which is distributed
on the client side thru OpenLayers. The GeoServer doesn't give you any
client side controls.
So I think it is better to ask about this question in the OpenLayers Forum.

And yes there are some possible solutions to prevent the user from zooming.
Best way is if you don't implement any zoom control in OL, but result is
that the user will have only one presented map.
