Hi Steve,
You might check out Micro Resources. They provide a linux server with
PostGIS and Geoserver (or Mapserver, if you want) for a reasonable
monthly rate. I used them for about 8 months to develop and launch
ridethecity.com, before moving the site to a VPS when our traffic grew
too much.
Here is their web site: http://mrcc.com/node/2

Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"Hello All,
For quite a few years now I've have been using a postGIS->Geoserver->Flash
stack, on Linux, to create map-based applications. I also occasionally use
Java servlets to perform tasks I can't get geoserver to do. I have always
done this in a university setting and have never had to worry about web
hosting options....but now I may have the need/opportunity to do some
projects "in the real world" (gasp!). Can anybody suggest hosting solutions
that can provide the technologies mentioned above? Thanks,
Steve
