[Geoserver-users] how to display a postgis raster?

I have been struggling with this too. Perhaps it’s just me but I’m having a lot of trouble going from the specifics detailed in the tutorial to the general, simple case of just getting a raster to display, without worrying very much about pyramids for optimization. (I realize that optimization is precisely what the imagemosaic jdbc plugin is designed to accomplish, but it also happens to be the only known way to get PostGIS rasters displayed in GeoServer – right?)

But I haven’t wanted to ping the list too much till I can isolate problems more exactly.

Eh, to be fair, I followed the tutorial once just for the kicks of it and
had difficulties, too many steps, too easy to make a mistake
in one of them.
Managed to get to the end of it eventually, but it's too hard
