[Geoserver-users] how to make map pretty

hi everyone
Recent I learn about openlayers and geoserver,I use
geoserver+openlayer+oracle,when i add multiple layers ,
i found that there are many Surface features Stacking together like this
picture
http://old.nabble.com/file/p29497352/problem%2B.jpg
it's very Crowd, though i make the Zoom level higher but aslo have the
problem,
like this picture many label not show, although many bilding have show
I don't kown how to make the map friendly and pretty
i want point and label show together or not show together, and make the map
more pretty
where should the work do? geoserver or openlayer?
somebody could tell me how to solve the problem?

It’s on the GeoServer side, not OpenLayers. It’s hard to give advice on how to exactly make it pretty, as it depends on many factors. But there’s a good page on all the options you have for labeling, at http://docs.geoserver.org/2.0.x/en/user/styling/sld-reference/labeling.html

Thank you cholmes
I have seen this page, but they are all for labeling.in my map ,when the
space is enough,
the label will show Normal.but not all of the Surface features aways have
enough space .
like the picture there are many buildings ,also they are included in a
single layer. As they are belong to the same layer
so aways show together.it makes the map very busy.so many label can't show
Normal.
I want to kown how to Realize that even though there are many buldings in
the same place, but it show only one.
and when the space Expand another building will show.make every building
have a extra space.
like the following picture:

Your problem was actually discussed only a few days ago on the mailing list.
Look in the archives for a thread titled "extra points without labels"

Cheers
