[Geoserver-users] how to set InputTransparentColor to ‘no color’ for publishing raster image(Aerial Imagery mosaic)

Dear Friends,
i am trying to publish Arial imaginary mosaic using image mosaic data store , to avoid black color noice i noticed that it need to set InputTransparentColor and outputTransparentColor to ‘no color’(http://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/tutorials/image_mosaic_plugin/imagemosaic.html) but when i type that in that peculiar field its automatically changing to ‘ffffff’ , is there any hex-value for no color? how to set that value to avoid the black color?

also what are the values available for ‘MergeBehavior’ parameter in the same?

Sorry, I forgot to keep the discussion on the list!

Anyway, when you ask for a tiled request without applying a style, each tile is rendered independently with the default raster style and the applied colormap depends on the maximum and minimum values of each tile.

You reported an issue related to an unsupported data type, so which is the data type of your images?

Regards,
Nicola.

Dear Nicola,
when I tried to set OutputTransparentColor to 000000 i am getting an error like

{Error rendering coverage on the fast path
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Unsupported data type.
Unsupported data type.}

If i remove that and put as default the map is loading without any issue but that ugly black color come in ‘no data’ Area, and if use tiled request the map getting differnt band colour for different area

Hi Anas,

you should set OutputTransparentColor to 000000 in order to avoid black color. In the documentation “no color” indicates that OutputTransparentColor is not configured, we will change it.

The available Merge Behaviors are FLAT, which is the default behavior, and STACKED, which merges all the data into a stack.

Nicola.
