[Geoserver-users] How to translate a map

I have a map that has a certain projection that exists in Geoserver 1.6 (Lambert Azimuthal Equal Area), but the latitude and longitude origins are different from anything defined in Geoserver. How do I translate the map?

Hi Amy,

What are the values of the latitude and longitude origins? It is
possible in GeoServer to supply a custom crs. Details here:

http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOSDOC/Custom+projection+definition+in+Geoserver+1.5.0+(onwards)

It involves specifying the well known text for your crs (you might be
able to start with a similar crs definition and just change the lat lon
origins) and map it to a new epsg code
