[Geoserver-users] Image Mosaic crash

Hi All,

I'm trying to create an image mosaic data store, following the tutorial at
http://geoserver.org/display/GEOSDOC/Using+the+ImageMosaic+plugin . My input
files are all USGS digital elevation model GeoTIFFs in WGS84 projection. I'm
using the GDAL route, as I don't have the MosaicImageBuilder installed. The
problem is this: I get to the point of successfully creating the new Coverage
Store, but when I try to create the new Coverage, it explodes with a null
pointer exception.

Any suggestions? I've attached what I'm guessing to be useful information. I'm
using the 1.7.x svn branch of GeoServer.

Thanks,
Eric

Ciao Erik,
quick question, you are building GeoServer out of the 1.7.x branc?

Simone.

Cool,
I am doing some enhancements on the mosaic plugin itself, I have just
committed some code I had around here floating around.
Can you do an update and test it?

I'm getting what looks like the same explosion with a fresh svn update. This
time, though, it occurred when I was adding the CoverageStore. Here's the

Ciao Erik,
you can try to do what follows, you can put all your files inside a
single dir and then create a mosaic store by just pointing to that
directory; the store should pick all the files in the directory up and
proceed (this is a new feature I have put together).

About you problem, can you come up with an isolated test case and/or
describe more in detail the steps you are following?

Cool,
I am doing some enhancements on the mosaic plugin itself, I have just
committed some code I had around here floating around.
Can you do an update and test it?
