[Geoserver-users] Image Pyramid Transparency problem

Hello.

I’m using Image Pyramid on Geoserver 2.7.1. I am using two image layers: one at the bottom (img2.png) and one on top with transparency (img1.png). I need to make transparent the background of img1.pg to show in these areas img2.png.

I am having problems with transparency. Sometimes the background of the top image is transparent and sometimes black.

The accompanying pictures show the problem: coloured base raster layer (img2.png ) is overlaid with a second layer (img1.png) with areas of empty background. The value of background pixels is white (#FFFFFF or RGB: 255,255,255).

In some of the tiles the background is transparent and base layer is visible with the foreground layer superimposed (img3.png), in some of the tiles the background is back and the base layer is not visible (img4.png).

Any suggestion?

Regards

Un saludo.
