[Geoserver-users] ImageMosaic of NetCDF in Geoserver2.8

Hi:
I create a ImageMosaic of NetCDF and usage of PostGIS to store the mosaic indexes. It’s throw error when I request by WMS. I’m use Geoserver2.8. But it’s ok when I use it in Geoserver2.7.

I recently used the netcdf plugin for geoserver 2.8 found here (http://ares.opengeo.org/geoserver/2.8.x/ext-latest/). I didn’t have any issues. Curious to as to why or how you would store the PostGIS mosaic indices as PostGIS doesn’t ingest NetCDF datasets.

Hi David,
the image mosaic plugin has a index which is really just a table with all the location, time and elevation
informations of each tile. By default it would be stored in a shapefile, which is suitable for smallish number
of tiles and/or time/elevation values, but one can also have it store the index in a database, in such case
a db table would be used instead, which can be indexed and thus speedup significantly the lookup for a
specific time or elevation.
