I would like to implement a system using the PointStacker functionality, which requires activating the WPS service. In doing a quick scan I am not finding a lot of discussion of the security and performance impacts of adding this to a public facing system. Can anyone comment on this, or point me to a resource where I can find information? At first glance it looks like I would be opening the door for any arbitrary user to access my server (Imports, process data, ....).

To use the pointstacker transformation you don't need to activate the WPS,
you just need it to be installed in GeoServer, but you can go to the WPS
panel and disable it.
