My name is Xiaoyi Yerden. I am a PHD candidate in the Information Science Program at University at Albany, SUNY.
I’m writing to invite you to be a part of my dissertation research: The Utilization of Open Government Data: a case study on New York State GIS Web Services.

  2. What are the enablers and obstacles in the process of producing or using this GIS Web Services?

  3. What is the impact or value created through this GIS Web Services from the perspectives of different stakeholders?

I am now looking for GIS professionals, who are from 1)non-profit organizations, 2)private organizations and 3)academic institutions, and have experience in using NYS GIS Web Services in their daily work, research or other areas.

If you choose to be a part of this project, your participation will entail a phone call interview of approximately an hour. I am also attaching the interview consent form for you to review. It briefly illustrates the purpose and format of the interview. If you any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at: xzhao6@anonymised.com.
