[Geoserver-users] java.lang.RuntimeException: Waiting thread received a null tile.

Hello,

I have added a arcgrid file has a coveragestore. In the demo it works fine, but when i do the following wcs request

http://193.136.19.193:8080/geoserver/wcs?SERVICE=wcs&VERSION=1.0.0&REQUEST=GetCoverage&COVERAGE=xsfire:coimbra_dtm25&CRS=EPSG:4326&BBOX=158587.5,319587.5,230912.5,391087.5&WIDTH=700&HEIGHT=700&FORMAT=GEOTIFF

I get, not a tiff, but a xml file with the following error

java.lang.RuntimeException: Cannot construct DataBuffer.

I have attached the all file to this mail so you can see it. I’m not sure, but I think I got different errors before

I’m using geoserver 1.7.2, the geoserver.log is also attached.

coimbra_dtm25.tiff (7.02 KB)

Hi,
First of all, I have noticed in your request that you have specified CRS=EPSG:4326 while the requested bounding box is 158587.5, 319587.5, 230912.5, 391087.5 which is not a 4326 Bounding Box. Do you have properly configured your coverage?
If you know the CRS of your coverage, you should add a prj file containing the proper WKT before inserting the arcgrid in the coverage store. (If your file is my_coverage.asc, define a my_coverage.prj, containing the WKT)

Let us know.

Regards,
Daniele
