[Geoserver-users] Java process, taking too much resources from CPU

Hello all:

We’ve been working with geoserver 2.3 in a new installation using linux.

so far, there is a problem with a java process when requesting some layers and resources at the same time. We used open layers demo, KML, and zip shapefile.

Geoserver (java) gets stuck and then nothing happens. the requests get waiting forever…

Is there any way to avoid this problem?

Iván,

We are currently discussing a similar issue in another thread: “GWC CPU to 100% / hung / gmaps service”. Have you seen that discussion, yet?

If so, is there anything similar between our setup, requests, use of authentication, etc., and yours?

If you can’t access that discussion for some reason, let me know and I will forward you what has transpired thus far.

Thanks,

Mike Grogan
