[Geoserver-users] Layer-specific security

Hi everyone

I have Geoserver 1.6.4b running with WFS GetFeature and Transaction operations secured, meaning that only logged in users can do these operations. However, I would like the security to be layer based. There is a layer I would want to be available for everyone to fetch and modify.

Is such a thing possible on Geoserver? I have not found any documentation on this, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

I think that this feature is only available in the 1.7 version, still in development.

We should be releasing a new testing version of 1.7.0
any day now, that one will have per layer security,
so stay tuned :slight_smile:
