Hi,
I used GeoServer 1.6.2 to publish geodata in KML for a Google Earth client.
I must render some linear features and I would like to use a dash pattern. I defined a dash array in my SLD : it works with classical WMS client like uDig but my line stays plain in Google Earth.
Is it possible to have dashed lines in Google Earth via GeoServer ?
Sincerelly,
Alexandre
Alexandre,
It is my understanding that g earth does not support dashed lines (WFS - KML)

I believe Travis is correct, Google Earth does not suppport dashed style. However, you could return overlay based KML (instead of placemarks) where all the rendering is done on the server side.
See http://geoserver.org/display/GEOSDOC/03+Google+Earth+Features (KML Socring section).
Not sure if this is an acceptable solution though, but an option.

Hi all,
Thanks for all the answers !
In fact, I can not use overlay based KML so I think I will just use an other color.
