[Geoserver-users] Logging into GeoServer on Mac OS

Hello There,

We have been using GeoServer for several years now and find it extremely helpful and an excellent tool for our utility in GIS based solutions/reports.

Recently I have acquired a Mac laptop and down loaded GeoServer Ver 2.5 for Mac and installed successfully. However, my problem now is that it is asking for a User_ID & password to login and nowhere in the document tells me what the defaults are.

Could you please enlighten me on this? Would be grateful.

Warm regards,

Would this be the default admin/geoserver password? Installation instructions (and warnings) should ask you to change this one as soon as possible. There is also a root password (initially documented in a file which you are asked to delete - see the warnings for details).

Want excitement?
Manually upgrade your production database.
When you want reliability, choose Perforce
Perforce version control. Predictably reliable.
