[Geoserver-users] Looking for a opensource app for drawing streets and crossroads etc.

Hi all,

A bit off-topic but I’m looking for an opensource application which gives me the possibility to draw new streets on a map.

I have build a drawing app with geoserver and openlayers myself but that’s limited to draw points lines and polygons.

I want to have an app that generates crossings if I draw a new street crossing an existing one (so this involves calculating nodes and edges etc.)

Is there such a thing out there?

Any help or hints would be appreciated

Hi Kris,
maybe Geomajas (http://www.geomajas.org/) ?

There's tools for splitting and snapping in OpenLayers - http://www.openlayers.org/dev/examples/snap-split.html

Probably not all that you need, but the additional functionality could be developed.

best regards,

Chris
