Is it possible to use MapInfo tab files with geoserver
There was a datastore in geotools for mapinfo files but it has long been relegated as unmaintained. It no longer lives in the svn repo, although it can be obtained on the older branches:
http://svn.osgeo.org/geotools/branches/2.5.x/modules/unsupported/mif/
It would be great if someone picked up and supported it again.

Justin could you pass that information (about a previous
implementation) on to the geotools list?
We have a developer from the udig side that just got permission to
donate his TAB implementation to geotools. I think he went with the
MITAB library directly (rather than GDAL).
Travis you may want to see if you can help out on the testing side of
things; we are all going to be busy with foss4g.
