[Geoserver-users] Modify geoserver.css

Hello,

Need to change the background image and make modifications to the
geoserver.css file under the following:

These are items that I am trying to change/revise

localhost:8080/geoserver/web/resources/org.geoserver.web.GeoServerBasePage/img/main-bg.png
localhost:8080/geoserver/web/resources/org.geoserver.web.GeoServerBasePage/css/geoserver.css

The files are not physically sitting anywhere on the server, however is
there a way to override this without recompiling the jar file? (folder and
file structure to do this)

Any light that you can shed will be much appreciated.

You can put the files in WEB-INF/classes, in the same package/position
you'd put them in
the jar files, that should act as an override.

Also have a look at the GeoServer branding guide here, depending on what
you'll change,
you might not be allowed to use the GeoServer logo anymore on it:
