I'm using Geoserver 1.6.0. I have some tifs that i used to build mosaic
index. The i registered them in geoserver. I also registered some shape
files. In the Open Layers preview i'm able to see this layers but sometimes
i get some "artifacts" on the produced image. But only when i turn on the
"Tiled" mode of OL.
Tough to say where the problem lies, in GeoServer or in OL. Does this happen consistently, or somewhat randomly? On the GeoServer side do you see anything in the logs that might indicate what is happending. Perhaps try turning logging up and see if any exceptions or error messages result.

That's the problem. The error appears randomly. And geoserver doesn't print
out any exceptions (even with logging level set to geoserver or geotools).
I'll investigate further.
