Hi list,
Are there plans to add multiple admins capabilities in GeoServer? The feature would be about multiple admin accounts with each its own access to certain data namespaces. The intended goal would be that some admins will not be able not mess with other admin's data configuration if they have not received the proper access rights.
(I haven't found such a feature request in the issue tracker)
Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,
I would say yes. A while back Andrea did some prototyping with a
security system called Ageci... which unless I am mistaken allows you to
configure access to pretty much anything you want. However it has not
been integrated into the user interface as of yet.
A better web user interface is something that we have been longing for
for quite some time. You can be assured that proper access control will
be built into it. But until that comes you are pretty much stuck with
the single admin user.
