Hi,
Is it possible to embed temporal data, and data type in a WCS document using GeoServer?
I have a large number of rasters that cover different time periods, and contain different types of data. For example, I'll have one raster that contains rainfall data in mm for a particular month in a given year, another that contains the percent difference from the mean for that month, another that contains the difference from the mean in mm, another that contains the difference from the mean as a standard deviation, and so on. In this case, I will have a separate raster for each type of data for each month over a range of years.
I have similar sets of rasters for a variety of datasets, and for a variety of different time periods (e.g., daily, monthly, ten days or for an arbitrary period of time.)
I see that the WCS XML schema supports temporalDomain, temporalSubset and timePeriod elements. Does GeoServer support use of these elements? If so, are there any examples? If not, is there a project underway to support these? Maybe I could contribute (with a bit of guidance.)
It would be thrilling if I could query GeoServer to discover what datasets it contains, and what time periods, and data types are available for each dataset.
Any suggestions?
Cheers,
Greg
