Bill,
Yep, we had one instance on win2k server and now an instance on xp. There have been one or two other people on this list using oracle but I haven’t raised the issue before - I originally thought it was an oracle 8 issue - so if you do experience anything like that, I’d really appreciate your letting me know.
Thanks,
Miles

Subject: Re: [Geoserver-users] No CRS for SRID [Sec=Unclassified]
Miles,
I can’t say yet as I only have gotten Oracle working as of yesterday,
but I will certainly keep this in mind as I move forward. BTW, I saw
your note from yesterday, and that wasn’t my experience. I had the
original message about the CRS, but then I would also get no rendering,
and an error message from the client (in this case, uDIG).
As an aside, I am running on Fedora 5. It sounds like you might be on
Windows?
Bill,
I’ve been having a small problem with geoserver and oracle since I
started using geoserver a while ago, and would be interested to know if
you’ve been having the same experience. When Geoserver is started, all layers render fine from a getMap request.
However, after using it for a while (time varies), some layers
repeatedly fail to render. Geoserver doesn’t record any errors in the
logs, even with FINEST logging - it seems to think everything went ok.The only thing that makes them render again is reloading the geoserver
configuration, or restarting the service (same diff).I’ve migrated from oracle8i to oracle 10g with similar issues, and use
the war version of geoserver 1.3.4.Shapefiles always work without fail. Do you experience anything similar?

Miles
