[Geoserver-users] non geo tables

Hi,

I tried (with no success) to force Geoserver to serve tables without geometric columns from Postgres in order to get simple csv files. Has anybody any experience about that ?

Cheers

Laurent

I've had no problem serving tables without geometric columns from PostGIS. Are you using PostGIS or plain PostgreSQL?

PostGIS. Are you using PostGIS or plain PostgreSQL?

PostGIS, but when I try to create the new entity , Geoserver (1.7.2) complains there not geographic matter to play with.

Are you getting a specific exception from the J2EE container logs?

Hmmm.... can you give us the exact error message and what you
are doing to configure the layer? To the best of my knowledge
it's really sufficient to force in a made up lat/lon bbox to
keep the configuration happy.
