[Geoserver-users] OpenAPI docs

Hello all!

I was looking at the OpenAPI docs found at https://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/api/#1.0.0/workspaces.yaml (workspaces example). I know that the OpenAPI YAML files are in the github under doc/en/api, but I was wondering–are these generated by the build process, or are they maintained by hand?

I saw some discussion in the archives about a year ago concerning automatically generating the docs, but I didn’t see a resolution to it.

I just wanted to make sure that I was looking at the right OpenAPI specs.

They are maintained by hand, we had a choice of updating sphinx docs or trying OpenAPI during a code sprint.

Contributions, feedback, corrections very much welcome.
