I appologise in advace since it seems to me that the answer my question is trivial, but I cant find it in documentation.
I installed geoserver and it works fine. I can see demo dana, I managed to connect to a postgis datasource, to get the dana through WFS and so on. However, I cant connect to a oracle danasource. I tried installing oracle extension, but the option to add new oracle dana source just doesnt appear in the drop down list.
What i did is i downloaded files for both oracle extensions from http://geoserver.org/display/GEOS/Stable. I unzipped .jar files to my D:\Program Files\GeoServer 1.7.1\webapps\geoserver\WEB-INF\lib folder. I also put ojdbc14.jar AND classes12.jar files in there (i tried different versions of ojdbc14.jar, one that came with extension, one from oracle site, and one from my oracle instalation). I also put those files in D:\Program Files\GeoServer 1.7.1\lib just to be sure. However, the option to add oracle datasource just doesnt appear in the list (config -> dana -> datastore -> new). Can you tell me what am I doing wrong.
Sorry for the bother,
Krešimir Križanović
P.S. Its on Windows machine. I put both /lib folders in my class path. I also tried downloading and installing MySQL extension, it should work in the same way, but also with no result. In my drop down list i get neither oracle or mysql.

Nope, either one or the other, never the two toghether, they are
different versions of the same driver.
Did you restart GeoServer after installing the plugins?
Cheers
